Wilted Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon- chopped
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    4 c. shredded cabbage
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Remove bacon and set aside.
    To fat in pan, add onion, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
    Stir.
    Add shredded cabbage.
    Cook on medium heat, uncovered for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
    Drain and place in dish.
    Sprinkle with bacon and serve.
