Traditional English Muffins In A Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. unsifted flour
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    cornmeal
Preparation
    Grease and sprinkle with cornmeal two 8 x 4-inch loaf pans. Combine 3 cups flour with yeast, sugar, salt and soda.
    Heat milk and water until very warm (120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0).
    Add to dry ingredients and beat well. Stir in remaining 3 cups flour to make a stiff batter.
    Spoon into prepared pans.
    Sprinkle tops with cornmeal. Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts, for 45 minutes.
