Strawberry Jam Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. strawberry jam
Preparation
    Cream
    sugar with shortening until fluffy, add eggs and blend well.
    Sift
    together
    flour,
    salt,
    cinnamon, soda and nutmeg. Add alternately
    with
    milk to creamed mixture.
    Fold in jam and bake in greased muffin pans in moderate oven (375\u00b0) for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Remove
    from
    pan
    and
    frost with any favorite frosting.
    Makes 20 cupcakes.
