Heather'S Scottish Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Cream butter.
    Sift together flour, sugar and salt.
    Combine dry ingredients and butter; mix well. Pat dough into an ungreased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Press down evenly. Pierce with a fork through dough every half-inch.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut into squares while still warm.
