Cookie Jar Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
granulated sugar (to roll balls in)
Preparation

Measure sifted flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon and salt into sifter.
Sift 2 or 3 times.
Cream shortening in medium size bowl. Add sugar gradually, creaming well.
Beat in eggs and molasses. Add dry ingredients, mixing well.
Form teaspoons of dough into balls.
Roll balls in sugar, covering entire surface.
Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until tops are lightly browned.
Remove from pans. Cool completely.
Store in airtight container.
