California Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 c. raw rice
    6 chicken breasts or fryer parts
    1 can mushroom soup
    2 1/2 c. water or chicken broth
Preparation
    Sprinkle soup mix on bottom of a 17 x 13 x 2-inch buttered pan. Spread rice evenly on bottom of pan.
    Lay chicken on top of rice. Dilute soup with water and pour over chicken.
    Dot with butter. Bake, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
