Peas And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    2 c. rice
    2 cans pigeon peas
    adobo to taste
    3 slices bacon, cut in 1/4-inch pieces
    hot sauce to taste
    1 whole chopped onion
    3 cloves garlic
    onion powder
    black pepper
    1 tsp. oregano
Preparation
    In frying pan, render bacon until soft.
    Add onion and garlic until soft.
    Add uncooked rice and pigeon peas.
    Stir until completely blended.
    Put in pot and cover with 3 cups of water. Bring water to a boil.
    Reduce heat and cover.
    Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
