English Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    4 large cooking apples, peeled and sliced (about 6 c.)
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
Preparation
    In medium size bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with wooden spoon or electric mixer until light and fluffy.
    Stir in flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and the water until smooth and thick.
    Stir in pecans.
    Mound apples in 9-inch pie pan.
    Mix white granulated sugar with remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Spoon the pecan mixture, dropping in dollops onto the sliced apples.
    Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar over top of all.
    Bake on lowest rack in preheated oven set at 375\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until apples are tender when pierced with skewer.
    Makes 8 servings.
