Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, separated
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. blueberries
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1/3 c. milk
Preparation

Beat egg whites until stiff, adding 1/4 cup sugar to keep them stiff. Cream the shortening and add salt, vanilla and remaining sugar gradually. Combine with unbeaten yolks, beating until light and creamy. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Fold in beaten egg whites. Add the lightly floured blueberries. Bake in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan for 50 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0.
