Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can green beans
    1 can English peas
    1 can water chestnuts, drained
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    1 cucumber, sliced thin
    1 c. celery, sliced thin
    1 bell pepper, sliced thin
Preparation
    Slice chestnuts and mix all ingredients.
    Mix 1/2 cup oil, 1/2 cup vinegar, 3/4 cup sugar and salt and pepper (to taste).
    Pour over vegetables and let stand overnight.
