Goli-She-Was - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 Tbsp. minced green pepper
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    shredded potatoes
Preparation
    Mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, onion and green pepper.
    Add milk to form a rather stiff batter.
    It should be about the consistency of dumplings, stiff enough to barely drop from the spoon.
    Add enough potatoes to double mixture.
    Drop by teaspoons into 375\u00b0 fat and fry until golden brown.
    Drain and serve hot.
