Fig Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    3 eggs
    1 c. fig preserves
    2 c. chopped pecans
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix oil and sugar.
    Gradually add eggs and preserves.
    Sift together flour and spices, soda and salt.
    Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Add nuts.
    Bake in tube pan for 1 hour and 30 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
