Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. ground black walnuts
Preparation
    Mix salt, flour and baking powder.
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Beat egg yolks.
    Add flour mixture with milk, add black walnuts. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.
    Bake 30 minutes at 300\u00b0.
