Mahogany Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. walnuts
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. strawberry preserves
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Sift flour, cocoa and spices together.
Add soda to buttermilk.
Add flour and milk to sugar, butter and eggs mixture.
Add nuts, coconut and preserves.
Cook in tube pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Turn off and leave 30 minutes more.
