Apple Brown Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    3 c. fresh bread cubes (6 slices)
    6 c. cored and pared apples
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground allspice
    1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Melt butter and mix with bread cubes.
    Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
    Combine other ingredients; stir in water.
    Turn into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Sprinkle with reserved bread cubes.
    Cover and bake 30 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Remove cover and bake 30 minutes more.
    Serve warm with ice cream.
