Crispy Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. cucumbers, sliced thin
    1 cauliflower, broken
    3 cloves garlic (3 small or 1 large)
    1 qt. onions, sliced
    1 red pepper
    1 green pepper
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery
    3 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Mix together the cucumbers, cauliflower, garlic, onions and peppers;
    cover
    with
    1/3 cup pickling salt.
    Cover completely with
    ice
    cubes.
    Stand
    for
    3
    hours.
    Drain well. Bring
    the remaining ingredients to a boil.
    Pack sterile jars with
    pickles and
    pour
    this
    hot liquid over.
    Close cover. Make
    small or pint jars.\tThey are a great gift idea for that extra
    little something
    at Christmas.
    They will shelf store for several months.
