Appetizer Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    1/4 lb. ground pork
    1 small onion, grated
    1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. marjoram
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can beef consomme
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. sweet relish
Preparation
    Combine meat, onion, crumbs, seasonings, eggs and milk.
    Mix with a fork.
    Shape into 48 small balls.
    Brown a few at a time in shortening.
    Drain off all fat from pan.
    Return meat balls.
    Pour consomme over balls.
    Simmer, covered, 15 minutes.
    Remove with a slotted spoon.
    Keep hot.
