Yum Yum Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in its own juice (not heavy syrup)
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 boxes vanilla pudding (cooking kind)
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Make cake as directed. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix together pineapple and sugar; bring to a boil.
    Pour over warm cake.
    Cook pudding according to package directions.
    While still warm, pour over pineapple mixture.
    Cool and top with Cool Whip. Must be kept in the refrigerator.
