Microwave Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 1/4 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish, stir together corn syrup and sugar.
    Cook on 100 percent power for 4 minutes.
    Stir in nuts. Cook on 100 percent power for 3 minutes.
    Add butter and vanilla to syrup and blend well.
    Cook on 100 percent power for 1 to 2 minutes.
    Add baking soda and stir until light and foamy.
    Pour mixture onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
    When cool, break into pieces.
    Keep in a tight container.
