Apple Pecan Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    4 c. apples, finely chopped
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    3/4 c. light brown sugar
    1/4 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 c. coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In large bowl, cream together shortening, sugar and eggs with an electric mixer.
    Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt and cinnamon.
    Add to the cream mixture.
    Stir in apples and pecans (batter will be thick).
    Spread in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes, until firm in the middle.
