Forgotten Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    2 cans cream of chicken soup
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 large fryer, cut up
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Place rice in bottom of shallow greased baking pan. Combine cream of chicken soup and water.
    Pour some of the soup mixture over rice and let stand a few minutes.
    Place chicken pieces on top of rice.
    Salt and pepper chicken and then pour remaining soup mixture over it.
    Top with dry onion soup mix. Cover with foil.
    Place in oven and forget about it for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until done.
