Mrs. Harry V. Hand Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. white syrup
    pinch of salt
    2 c. pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil all ingredients, except vanilla, gently for about 8 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add a lump of butter (about the size of a walnut) and the vanilla.
    Beat with a wooden spoon until candy loses its gloss.
    Drop quickly by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
