Grandmas Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. hot water
1/2 c. sour milk (buttermilk or put 1 Tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice in plain milk)
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix all together, adding hot water last.
Bake 20-30 minutes at 350\u00b0 in floured pans (1 13x9 or 2 round or 2 8x8) until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool and serve, dust with powdered sugar, or frost.
