Red Hot Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. red hot cinnamon candies
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon Jell-O
    1 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Dissolve candies in boiling water and pour over Jell-O.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Stir in applesauce.
    Pour in 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Chill until firm.
    Blend cream cheese and mayonnaise, folding in chopped celery and nuts.
    Spread over Jell-O.
    Chill.
    Serves 12.
