Winter Cabbage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cider vinegar
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3/4 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. ground turmeric
    10 c. thinly sliced cabbage
    3 medium onions (thinly sliced)
    2 medium sweet red bell peppers (thinly sliced)
    1 medium green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
Preparation
    In a saucepan, bring the first six ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat;
    simmer, unconvered, for 5 minutes.
    Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
