Vanilla Cream Pie Or Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour and salt; gradually stir in milk.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
    Cook 2 minutes longer.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir small amount of hot mixture into yolks.
    Return to hot mixture.
    Cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
    Add butter and vanilla; cool.
    Pour into pie crust.
    Top with meringue.
