Creamy Broccoli Soup Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 3/4 c. water
    1 pkg. Uncle Ben's Country Inn brand broccoli rice au gratin
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 c. tsp. dry mustard
    1 3/4 c. chicken broth of bouillon
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. shredded American cheese
    1 green onion cut into short thin strips (optional)
Preparation
    Cook onion in butter until tender.
    Add water and contents of rice and seasoning packets.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Combine flour and dry mustard in a small bowl.
    Gradually add about 1/2 cup broth, stirring until smooth. Stir remaining broth, flour mixture and milk into rice mixture. Heat to simmer stirring occasionally.
    Stir in cheese.
    Sprinkle with green onion.
