Strawberry Angel Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar
    2 pkg. frozen strawberries
    1 pt. whipping cream, whipped, or Cool Whip
    1 angel food cake, torn into small pieces
Preparation
    Add boiling water to jello and sugar; stir until dissolved. Add strawberries; stir until thawed.
    Place in refrigerator until syrupy, then stir in whipped cream.
    Place 1/2 the pieces of angel food cake in a 9 x 13-inch pan, then pour 1/2 the strawberry mixture over cake.
    Repeat layers.
    Let set until firm; cut into squares to serve.
