Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

In saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly.
Cook and stir 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir small amount hot mixture into yolks; immediately return to hot mixture.
Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add butter, vanilla and coconut flavoring.
Pour into cooled baked pastry shell.
Spread margarine on pie; sprinkle with coconut.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
