Cheddar Ham Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    2 c. cubed potatoes
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
    2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 can whole kernel corn, drained
    1 1/2 c. cubed cooked ham
Preparation
    Bring water, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper to a boil.
    Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until tender.
    Remove from heat.
    In another pan, melt butter.
    Blend in flour; add milk. Cook and stir until thick.
    Add cheese; stir until melted.
    Mix these together.
    Add corn and ham; heat thoroughly.
