Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat.
    Add milk, then flour, sifted with salt, baking powder and spices.
    Roll out on floured surface 3/8-inches; cut with doughnut cutter.
    Let stand 15 minutes.
    Fry in deep hot Crisco (375\u00b0); drain on paper towels.
    Makes 3 dozen.
    Can ice if desired.
