Red Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. chopped tomatoes
    4 medium onions, chopped
    2 tsp. salt
    black pepper to taste
    2 to 3 bell peppers, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    hot peppers
Preparation
    Bring all ingredients, using as many hot peppers as desired, to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until desired thickness.
    Stir occasionally.
    Pour in 5 pint jars and seal.
