Polly Olson'S Tea Cookies(Polly Was Pastry Chef At Oviedo Inn, Oviedo, Florida) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. margarine (2 sticks)
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. baking soda
    pinch of salt
    4 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar together. Add vanilla and flour, mixing well.
    Add soda and salt; mix well. Add nutmeg and eggs.
    Mix on medium speed until blended.
    Pour out on well floured table or board.
    Divide in half.
    Roll out 2 strips about 2 inches thick.
    Chill for about 2 hours.
    Cut into 1/4-inch thick slices and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven until light brown.
    Let cool before removing from cookie sheet.
