One Egg Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cream butter until light and fluffy.
    Gradually add the sugar, vanilla and egg to the butter.
    Stir in half the flour mixture and 1/4 cup milk. Add the rest of the flour mixture and milk.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
    Makes one 8 x 8-inch layer or 12 cupcakes.
