Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. fresh strawberries
1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
pinch of salt
3 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
4 or 5 drops red food coloring
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell

Preparation

In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, water, syrup and salt. Cook until clear.
Remove from heat.
Add Jell-O and food coloring; stir to dissolve.
Cool completely.
Mix berries in gently; pour into pie shell.
Chill served with Cool Whip.
