Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter
    2 c. raw peanuts
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Using large kettle, boil first four ingredients until thread stage (238\u00b0).
    Add butter and peanuts.
    Stir; cook until golden brown (300\u00b0).
    Remove from heat and add baking soda.
    Mixture will bubble up.
    Mix well.
    Pour into a well-greased cookie sheet. When cool, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
