Oatmeal Crispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (1/2 butter)
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    3 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. nut meats
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugars.
    Add beaten eggs and vanilla, then the dry ingredients and nuts.
    Form in long rolls.
    Wrap in wax paper and let stand overnight.
    I usually put them in the freezer until you can slice them off nicely.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for about 10 minutes at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0.
    Makes quite a lot of cookies.
