Grandma'S Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 chicken thighs, skin removed
    1 medium onion, chopped
    5 to 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste
    pinch of oregano
    1/4 c. white wine
    olive oil
Preparation
    In a 6-quart pot over medium to high, heat 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil.
    Brown chicken on both sides; remove.
    Saute onion 2 to 3 minutes.
    Add mushrooms; continue to saute until mushrooms are golden brown and onion is soft.
    Add wine and scrape pot with wooden spoon.
    Add remaining ingredients; stir and cover.
    Reduce heat and cook about 1 hour.
    Serve over spaghetti.
