Pickled Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cucumbers
    1 c. sweet red peppers
    1 c. cabbage
    1 c. onion
    1 c. green tomatoes
    1 c. carrots
    1 c. string beans
    1 c. celery
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cook carrots and beans until tender; drain.
    Chop vegetables; sprinkle on 1/2 cup salt and let set overnight.
