Lima Beans And Pork Sausage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. (1 lb.) dry lima beans, rinsed and sorted
    6 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. bulk pork sausage
    2 1/2 c. tomato juice
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. dried basil
Preparation
    In a Dutch oven, bring beans, water and salt to a boil. Remove from heat; cover and let stand for 1 hour or soak overnight.
    (Do not drain.)
