English Custard Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 thin slices bread, buttered
    2/3 c. sugar
    4 c. milk
    4 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    cinnamon (as desired)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Cut buttered bread lengthwise into 3 pieces.
    Scald milk (heat to almost boiling) and pour over the beaten eggs which have been mixed with sugar and vanilla.
    Add cinnamon.
