Broiled Quail - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cleaned quail
    olive oil
    salt and pepper
    butter
    toasted bread
    mushrooms
Preparation
    Split cleaned birds down back.
    Rub with olive oil, butter and salt and pepper.
    Place 2 inches under preheated broiler for 8 minutes; basting again with olive oil.
    Serve on buttered toast with mushrooms.
    Allow 1 quail per person.
