Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. unsifted flour
    2 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. cooking oil
    4 eggs, unbeaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. orange or lemon juice
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 tsp. baking powder
    8 large apples or 12 small apples, thinly sliced
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    5 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Lightly grease and flour pan (large tube pan).
    Set oven at 350\u00b0.
    Mix together first 8 items.
    Mix apples, cinnamon and sugar.
    Put thin layer of batter, then apples.
    Alternate and end with a layer of apples.
    Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes.
    Cool. Remove from pan and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
