Cranberry Salad Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (3 oz.) pkg. raspberry-flavored gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. cold water
    2 c. fresh cranberries, ground
    2 oranges (unpeeled), seeded and ground
    2 apples, unpeeled and ground
    1 (15 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. pecans, slightly ground
    mayonnaise (optional)
    orange slices for garnish (optional)
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Add cold water.
    Chill until consistency of unbeaten egg white.
    Combine next 6 ingredients and mix well.
    Fold fruit mixture into gelatin mixture.
    Pour into slightly oiled 10-cup ring mold.
    Chill until set.
    Unmold on lettuce leaves.
    Fill center of ring with mayonnaise and garnish with orange slices, if desired.
    Makes 20 servings.
