Cinnamon Nut Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine, softened
    1/2 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 large egg, separated
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. pecans, finely chopped
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Cream margarine, sugars and egg yolk until light and fluffy.
    Combine flour, cinnamon and salt.
    Add to beaten mixture and continue beating until blended.
    Spread into ungreased jelly roll pan.
    Beat egg white until just foamy.
    Spread evenly on top of dough.
    Sprinkle with nuts and press in lightly. Bake 40 minutes.
    Cut into squares while still hot.
