Meat Loaf #2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices day old bread
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1 can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. mustard
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Soak bread in water; squeeze out excess moisture. Combine bread, meat, egg, seasonings, onion and 1/2 can tomato sauce. Mix well. Shape into a loaf in a shallow baking dish. Combine remaining tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard and water. Pour sauce over meat loaf. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, basting occasionally. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
