Fresh Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 c. flour
    1 c. water
    6 medium tomatoes, peeled, seeded and diced
    1 Tbsp. minced parsley
    1 1/4 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    lemon slices (for garnish)
Preparation
    In 3-quart pan, heat oleo.
    Cook onions until tender.
    Stir in flour.
    Slowly stir in water.
    Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients (except lemon slices).
    Heat to a boil.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Stir frequently.
    Add more water, if needed.
    Makes 4 servings.
