Texas Hash 2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (7 oz.) can diced green chilies
    3/4 c. uncooked rice
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. ground cumin
    1/2 tsp. each: garlic powder, salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown hamburger with onion until onion is tender; drain.
    Stir in remaining ingredients; mix well.
    Bring to a boil; cover and reduce heat.
    Simmer 40 minutes.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
