German Sweet And Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage, shredded
    1 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Pour sugar over shredded cabbage and let stand for several minutes.
    Combine other ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour boiling mixture over cabbage; let stand overnight before using.
    This will keep for at least 10 days.
    Store in a covered dish, but not a metal container.
    This is very good with ham for a buffet dinner.
