Lime Iceberg Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 to 10 lb. cucumbers, sliced
    2 gal. water
    2 c. pickling lime
    2 qt. vinegar
    5 lb. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. whole mustard seed
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    1 tsp. pickling spice
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in water for 24 hours.
    Rinse well.
    Soak another 3 hours in ice water and drain.
    Mix remaining ingredients; add cucumbers and soak overnight.
    Bring to a boil; simmer 35 minutes.
    Pack in jars and seal.
